018 Maggie Ahahahahahaha. Seriously, if I needed a distraction from waiting on my results from WADA and RADA then this was it. Though, I won't be heckling at all. Promise.
Well well well. Just as you think that Flux might just have stopped with his daft ideas of ways to mortify the student body, he's at it again. I'm told that previous Heads wouldn't have endorsed such a thing, so it kind of makes you wonder if there were any other candidates at all when he went up for the job, doesn't it? Current Mood: amused |

017 I don't know why there is such surprise at the behaviour of certain students. Hogwarts has never been a place known for refined and moral behaviour, after all. Private I don't know what's got into this school lately, but I'm actually finding it quite entertaining. If you can't beat them, join them?
...must remember to tell Maggie I'm not entirely serious about the moralistic thing.
...wonder if anyone will take me seriously? People rarely do, mind, but still... Current Mood: morose |

016 Got to say, even though I'm not much fussed about Quidditch, I kind of feel sorry for the players from Beauxbatons. Next ones to play the host school after all that stuff in Witch Weekly? If anyone's likely to cop something really awful (and by that I mean the worst gossip out of the bunch), it's that lot. But that's gossip writers for you - either they've got an attitude problem (poking their noses in) or an ethics problem (making shit up). Then, of course, there's regular people sticking their oar in when it's not wanted, too. In short, not only are gossip reporters often idiotic, so are many members of the general public. That's a significant portion of the population who are daft, right there. Current Mood: amused |

015 Never will I have been so glad for the hols to be over. And I say that when they're the last lot that us 7th years will EVER have, which kind of makes me feel old, now I've said it... Maggie Feel like going on a random London adventure? I need to get out of this house before I lose my mind... Current Mood: awake |

010 The portrayal of witches and wizards in Muggle media. Just how offensive is it, if at all? Could someone's background or upbringing affect their opinion in any way? I was thinking about this the other day when I was doing some reading for Muggle Studies, because one of my favourite Muggle films has witchcraft and magic as a central theme and the witches in it are the stereotypical old hags, crooked noses, wonky teeth and all. I don't get offended by that because it's so camp and over the top that I actually find it hilarious - it's such an extreme that it couldn't be a real insult, yeah? These are the witches I'm talking about in the film, by the way. ( Wave wand for image )But obviously, some people would think differently, and what I'm interested in is their motivation for thinking that. Current Mood: thoughtful |

008 Maggie So how is the mini-terror treating you? Phil Please tell me you're not one of the people enjoying this ridiculousness? Will Longbottom So, I sort of feel guilty dropping you in it like that. If you want me to take it off your hands for a couple of days for some time off, let me know. Private My god, I must be going soft. Still, I'm sure there must be some way I can fail this without looking like a complete prat.
Some people seem to be enjoying looking after these fake babies far too much. Current Mood: contemplative |

I'm sorry, but those sex ed classes were hilarious. What a joke!
Actually, wait. I'm not at all sorry, actually.
...and someone's going to get their knickers in a twist over that. Best ward this.
So, the Dueling tournament. To compete, or not to compete? I wonder. Current Mood: amused |

003 Never have I been so glad of my habit of scanning through other people's journal entries before writing my own... seriously. Now, of course, I think we know quite a few things about each other that we didn't know before, whether we gave a damn or not. Can't quite decide whether or not that's a good thing...
